Fate + Becker Just Love Ruffle Dress

This dress looked great in the picture. Very feminine and floaty. But the neckline wasn't right for me. I bought the same design in the blouse because the neck line was better. If I could have merged the two together it would have been a great dress. Returned both. Was thinking of making the dress into a skirt and wearing with the blouse. But too expensive.

Love this dress even though trying to get it on with the slip attached adds a slight degree of complexity for me. Fabric is so thin you need the slip unless you are confident and happy with being "seen" (then go without it). I must point out the trickery by the model in the photo - if you look closely you can see she has pinned it up in front. I was confused when I tried it on as to why I saw so much of the white slip across the centre chest, not sitting on me as per the photo. Thank goodness for the slip then as there would be too much cleavage showing. So that's why they included the slip perhaps? Cheeky, I did not see that as advertised on TVSN. I do get I am a different shape than the model, but if she needs to pin it up, then she is the wrong model for this dress. Are we meant to be pinning it up? Probably not. I thought I was missing a button or hook until I saw I was just being deceived. It is pretty and unique and love the frills.
