Marcasite jewellery usually refers to silver jewellery inlaid with small stones made of Pyrite. Pyrite is a naturally occurring mineral which can be commonly found in a variety of geological formations. Early traces of Marcasite jewellery have been found in ancient Greece and the burial grounds of the Inca people in Latin America. It was also particularly popular in the eighteenth century, the Victorian era and with Art Nouveau jewellery designers.

This pendant features:

• 24x Round cut Thai Marcasite gemstones measuring approx. 1.6mm, with a total minimum gemstone weight of 0.55ct.
• 11x Round cut Thai Marcasite gemstones measuring approx. 1.4mm, with a total minimum gemstone weight of 0.2ct.
• Total number of gemstones is 35, with a combined total minimum gemstone weight of 0.76ct.
• Expertly crafted in Sterling Silver with a metal weight of 7.90 grams.

The pendant measures approx. 40mm in length and approx. 30mm wide.
The bale has internal dimensions of approx. 5x3mm and can take chains up to 2.5mm.
This piece includes a belcher link chain measuring 1mm in width and 50cm in length. The chain features a bolt ring clasp.
