Australian Sapphire
0.39ct Australian Wattle Sapphire Oval Leverback Earrings 9ct YG
From Queensland’s famed Anakie gem fields, the Wattle Sapphire is a rare Australian treasure. Representing just 3% of local Sapphire production. Its striking blend of green and gold, inspired by the golden wattle flower, comes from natural colour banding unique to Australian Sapphires.
Expertly cut to reveal its vivid hues and finished to an eye-clean clarity, each stone is as durable as it is beautiful (Mohs hardness 9). First discovered in 1873, these gems are now increasingly rare with the decline of large-scale mining, making them a sought-after choice for collectors and fine jewellery lovers alike.
These earrings feature:
- 2 x Oval cut Australia Wattle Sapphire gemstones measuring approx. 4x3mm each with a combined minimum gemstone weight of 0.391ct.
- Expertly crafted in 9ct Yellow Gold with a metal weight of 0.40grams.
Each earring measures approx. 20.4mm in length and approx. 3mm wide.
The earrings are secured using a lever back fitting - for pierced ears only.
