Mined from the world renowned Lightning Ridge fields in New South Wales, Australian Black Opal is the most valuable and recognised variety of opal. Distinguished by its dark body tone and vibrant play of colour, it displays an extraordinary spectrum of hues, from electric blues and greens to vivid reds and violets caused by the diffraction of light through microscopic silica spheres.

Formed over 100 million years ago in ancient sandstone deposits, each gem is unique in pattern and brilliance. • 3 x Oval Cabochon cut Natural Australian Lightning Ridge Black Opal gemstones measuring approx. 6x4mm with a minimum gemstone weight of 0.918ct. 
• Expertly crafted in 9ct Yellow Gold with a metal weight of 3.75grams.

The ring sits approx. 4.4mm above the finger and measures approx. 6mm down the finger.

The band measures approx. 2.4mm at the shoulder and approx. 2.3mm at the base.
