Tsavorite Garnet
0.45ct Tsavorite Garnet 3-Stone Ring 9ct White Gold
Discovered in 1967 by geologist Campbell Bridges in Tanzania, Tsavorite Garnet is a vibrant green variety of grossular garnet. A second find in Kenya in 1971 led to the first commercial mine in 1974. Named after the nearby Tsavo National Park, it ranges in color from yellow-green to bluish-green, with the most prized being a pure emerald green with a hint of blue.
Formed under immense geological forces, Tsavorite is rarely found intact, making clean stones over 2 carats extremely rare. With a Mohs hardness of 7.25 and a brilliance that exceeds emeralds, Tsavorite is a durable and dazzling choice for fine jewelry. Its unique beauty and scarcity make it a treasured gem for collectors and designers alike.
