1.00ct Padparadscha Sapphire & Diamond Accent Ring 9ct RG
Padparadscha Sapphire is among the rarest gems on the planet. Clarity is important in the padparadschas Sapphire because with their light colouration inclusions are easily revealed. They are strikingly beautiful and almost no other coloured gemstone compares to their unique mix of pink and orange. To be named a Padparadscha Sapphire, the gem should exhibit both colours. Padparadscha sapphires are a variety of Corundum, an aluminium oxide mineral that forms in crystals. They are heat treated at very low heat temperatures. Padparadscha sapphires are mainly found in Sri Lanka, as well as Madagascar and Tanzania.
