Tourmaline is one of the world’s most colorful gem varieties, Tourmaline comes in beautiful greens,yellows, pinks and purplish-reds with desirable medium tones that are not too dark or too light.Tourmaline is strongly pleochroic or more specifically, it is the most dichroic (two-colored) of all gemstones. This means each Tourmaline crystal has two colors (primary and secondary), whose intensity changes when viewed from different angles. Because of its strong pleochroism, the orientation of Tourmaline during lapidary is extremely important. Every Tourmaline in this collection has been faceted by experienced lapidaries who carefully orientate each crystal to maximize the gem’s colorful brilliance.Major sources for Tourmaline include Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, Mozambique and Nigeria.In the summer of 1998 one of the world’s most significant Tourmaline deposits was unearthed in a farming area about 40 kilometers from the city of Ibadan in Nigeria’s Oyo state near the border with Benin (West Africa) with later deposits located approximately 135 kilometers from Ibadan.

These pendant feature:

• 2 x Round cut Nigerian Canary Tourmaline gemstones measuring approx. 1.75mm each with a combined minimum gemstone weight of 0.032ct.
• 11 x Round cut Nigerian Canary Tourmaline gemstones measuring approx. 2.5mm each with a combined minimum gemstone weight of 0.363ct.
• Total combined minimum gemstone weight for this piece is 0.395ct.
• Expertly crafted in 9ct Yellow Gold with a metal weight of 0.61grams.

The pendant measures approx. 13mm in length and approx. 10mm wide.

The bale has internal dimensions of approx. 3x2mm and can take chains up to 1.5mm.

This piece includes a belcher link chain measuring 1mm in width and 50cm in length.

The chain features a bolt ring clasp.
