Mined from the historic Kariba Mine in Zambia’s Zimba district for over 50 years, it represents more than 90% of the country’s Amethyst production. The Amethyst from this region is highly prized for its deep, rich colour and excellent transparency, making it a Favorite among jewellers. Unlike many Amethysts, Zambian Kariba Amethyst is unenhanced, which increases its rarity and value. Known for its durability (Mohs hardness of 7), it is perfect for everyday wear while retaining a timeless elegance that makes it a true gem.

The pendant measures approx 28mm in length including the bale, and approx 15mm wide.
The bale has internal dimensions of approx 8mm x 5mm and can take chains up to 2.5mm.
