Mitty started in 2014, thanks to the amazing Mitra Burns. The idea came to life while Mitra was in the hospital for a kidney transplant. With plenty of time on her hands, she scrolled through Instagram and instantly fell in love with nail art. From that moment on, plain nails were a thing of the past for her! We were fed up with nail products that were tested on animals, full of nasty chemicals, and simply did not work. So, we set out to create healthier and more ethical alternatives that are as kind to your nails as they are to the planet.

Mitty Plant-Based Nail Polish is made in Australia with a focus on ethical production and natural ingredients. Mitty plant-based nail polish is certified vegan and cruelty free. Made with 83% all natural ingredients derived from sugarcane, manioc potato, and corn. The use of these ingredients provides a cleaner and more sustainable option compared to traditional nail polish formulas. Mitty plant-based nail polish is also breathable, allowing air and moisture to pass through the polish and reach the nail bed. The breathable formulation promotes healthier nails and prevents damage from prolonged wear. Designed to provide high-performance and long-lasting wear, Mitty plant-based nail polish is suitable for both home users and professional salon manicures.

• Prep Your Nails: Start with clean, dry nails. Gently shape and buff your nails to your desired length and shape. Push back your cuticles for a neat finish.

• Shake it Up: Give the nail polish bottle a gentle shake to awaken the pure colour pigments.
• First Coat: Carefully remove the brush from the bottle, wiping off any excess polish. Apply a thin, even coat of nail polish to your nail, starting at the base and moving towards the tip. Leave a slight gap around the edges to prevent smudging.
• Second Coat: Once the first coat is dry to the touch (typically within minutes), apply a second coat for intensified colour. The precision brush ensures a smooth, streak-free application.
• Allow to Dry: Allow your nails to air dry naturally. To speed up the process, consider using a quick-dry top coat or spray.
• Finish with Top Coat (Optional): For added lustre and longevity, apply a thin layer of your preferred top coat. This step safeguards your manicure and preserves its alluring charm.
• Cleanup: If you accidentally get polish outside your nail edges, use a small brush dipped in nail polish remover to clean up for a polished look.
