1.30ct Kings Plains Sapphire 3-Stone Drop Pendant 9ct White Gold

Kings Plains Sapphires originate from its namesake Kings Plains in northern New South Wales. Discovered in 1854 they are renowned for their stunning royal-blue hues. Mined from the Wilson Gems Mine, these Sapphires have become increasingly rare, making them highly coveted. Their rich, vibrant colour and excellent brilliance make them a true standout in the world of gemstones. As the availability of these Sapphires dwindles, their value continues to rise, making them a precious and lasting symbol of Australian craftsmanship. During the late 1980s Australia was the largest Sapphire producer, supplying 70% of the world market. The word Sapphire comes from the Persian word Safir, deriving from the Greek word for blue and is the second hardest mineral on earth behind Diamond.  

This pendant features:

• 3 x Oval cut Australian Kings Plains Sapphire gemstones measuring approx. 5x4mm each with a combined minimum gemstone weight of  1.301ct.
• Expertly crafted in 9ct White Gold with a metal weight of 2.25grams.

The pendant measures approx. 30.4mm in length and approx. 6.4mm wide.

The bale has internal dimensions of approx. 5x3mm and can take chains up to 2.5mm.
