Morphy Richards Electric Chopper

I bought it basically for the peeling part and let me tell you it’s the best purchase I have ever made. It’s so good and easy. I have peeled garlic in no time whenever I want.

My garlic peeler broke after four goes very disappointed because that’s what I bought it for.

I purchased the Morphy Richards chopper and was very happy when it arrived. I checked the chopper with all three bowls, but when I tried to insert the motor assembly using the small bowl, it would not lock into place. Both medium and large bowls locked into place ok. I rang TVSN and they sent me a replacement chopper. The same thing happened again, which indicates it's a design fault. I am in the process of returning the replacement chopper. I am very disappointed, and because of this fault, I csnnot recommend this product. As the medium and large bowls work, I am giving it two stars.

I saw all these rave reviews, watched the video and thought this machine looks amazing and bought it. When it arrived I popped it together and showed my hubby at the kitchen bench, took it out of the box and none of the bowls were properly wrapped, so I think I may have received a 'returned' machine. After I popped the first bowl together, I noted that I needed my glasses as the dots were very pale to see easily to line up, once I had my glasses the machine just wouldn't sit down properly. It was fiddly and the seal seemed like it had been moved more than in the video shows. When I popped it all together I showed my husband how it worked and pushed the button, he said "is it supposed to have a green light flashing inside?' (I had bought the 'mint' colour). I looked and saw the flashing too, I'd already stopped the machine and noticed that the power part felt warm to touch. Grabbed the instructions again, checked it all over again, checked the video and it was all correct. Pushed the button again and the green light strobed again. My hubby said "I think there's a short in the machine and it's sparking". We called Customer Care straight away and they were very good in giving us a returns address to send it back to for checking. I'm surprised ours was faulty with all these 5 star reviews, just thought it might be handy for anyone else who has had a similar experience to know they are not alone. Hopefully I was the only one with a faulty unit, but it does happen. Didn't get further than a quick test, the bowls are larger than I thought on TV, the dots are hard to line up and the bowls have 3 indents that you line up the seal with 3 small cut outs - again hard to see without your glasses if you're over 40. I think the designers could design this better so that it fits together better, but again I might have just had a faulty unit. Good concept but a bit clunky. I have the tefal cook companion big machine and these Morphy Richards bowls were nearly as big as that so I might stick with that for the time being. I also have the small tefal 5 second hand chopper that is used regularly for smaller chopping and it has lasted years now, no power just pull the string.

Very efficient. Having 3 different sized bowls is a great idea. Super fast. Everything I used to grate, I now chop. No mess. Easy clean up.

The best chopper I have purchased. Use to blend smoothies with frozen fruit and Carla Oats powders. The liquid doesn't run down the side of the bowl when pouring into a glass as previous chopper did. No mess brilliant!

This chopper is amazing..the four blades chop finely and very fast. Definitely worth the money..can't wait for soup making season..!
