Torricelumn™

MARGOT: "The origin story of how Torricelumn™ came to be is truly a beautiful story of hope. My grandmother was a makeup artist at Elstree Studios in London, England, before and during WWII. A bomb blitz in London resulted in V2 rockets being dropped just on a few streets over from where my grandmother was walking. She turned her head, which genuinely helped save her life, but unfortunately, the left side of her face was ripped to shreds. Torn and tattered, she was left completely deaf in her left ear.

Each day, she would go back to the doctor who painfully removed the shrapnel piece by piece, and she would often ask: “So what’s next? What else can help me?” The doctor would reply, “there’s nothing else.” 

That was when she discovered a book about war wounds and  thought, “I have a war wound!” Noting down some ingredients, she began her investigation into therapies. 

My grandmother discovered a type of algae at the base of a product designed to cure these war wounds and enlisted a chemist friend to help her get her hands on it. From there, she added her secret sauce to the formula: a blend of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals. 

Without fail, she used the formula every morning and every night. Within 8-10 months, her skin returned to its previous condition, or maybe even better, as my grandmother says. Then, thankfully, she went back to work. 

Soon after, a  famous actress complained to my grandmother about heavy makeup during filming and how it was ruining her skin. "It’s lovely to switch up your skin care and think about what will happen in the warmer months.
