Pantry Queen was born around a high tea table. A group of friends had gotten together to celebrate one of the girls birthdays. As the food was served there were a few asking for gluten free and sugar free options. The variety was limited at the venue. Discussions formed around the need for more tasty gluten and sugar free sweets. The DIY gluten and sugar free sweet box idea came to life. 12 months of market research and testing took place to develop the sweet box range and then Pantry Queen was launched in 2022.

There are too many steps and extra ingredients needed - they're not easy to make. The biscuit base in the caramel slice was too hard to eat so I had to throw it out. The caramel sauce on the sticky date pudding set hard as toffee when it cooled even slightly. The vanilla slice was hard to assemble and the custard didn't set in the way they're meant to. The lava cakes were edible, but the only edible one in the set. Unlike other reviewers I found the instructions unclear and need to be improved. And in general the photos on the boxes did not match the reality. I love the idea behind the mixes, but was really disappointed with them.

Gluten free sugar free and tasty

Easy to use packages inside the box, clear instructions. I have made the vanilla slice it is delicious, it is not easy to get a GF vanilla slice so its a real treat to make one at home and share it. I have been a diagnosed Coeliac for many years (43) and recently diagnosed with Type 11 Diabetes these packages are perfect for dietary needs. I love to bake.

Guilt Free is just the beginning

As a newly diagnosed Diabetic I thought I would give these cake & pudding mixes a go. Not only are they guilt free, but they are low in carbohydrate, sugar free and gluten free. They can also be dairy free, however, I made them using cream and butter. The taste was delicious and my son has asked me to make more. I definitely recommend this product.

Great idea but needs more work on sweetness

I’ve only tried the caramel slice. It needed more chocolate to cover the top. After making this slice I couldn’t eat it. It was just too sweet for me. I am a sweet tooth but I could only have the smallest piece and had the shudders after trying it. No issues either gf. I really wanted to like this. The caramel did not even after being in the fridge overnight and I followed the recipe

We watch what we eat & often entertain like minded eaters. These cakes are quick & easy, while also tasting delightful. Not quite as sweet as shop bought, but plenty sweet enough & I prefer them to be honest. Very satisfying for naughty cravings.

Brought these as sugar free etc, but made the caramel slice as per instructions on the weekend and it was that hard we could not even try left out the fridge all afternoon warming the slice but made no difference The others I haven’t tried but not sure I will after making this one
